User Submitted Tips

  • Beware of knock-offs when buying designer leather goods. You would be surprised at how large of an industry counterfeit designer leather goods is. If you want a true designer leather coat or bag, go to the actual leather designers' sites instead of using so-called designer bargain sites. There is no way to tell from a picture whether the item is a true designer piece or a fake. When buying straight from the designer site, you can be sure of the authenticity of the products, the customer service will be better, and you will be happier if you do.
  • Vintage is all the rage, everything old is new again. If you agree with this then you need to check out some of the vintage leather goods stores online! You can find leather jackets, purses, wallets, and anything else leather in these online leather goods stores. Make sure you steer away from phrases like vintage-style or vintage-like leather goods. Vintage leather store websites and online catalogs are lots of fun to look through, you can find some very unique things. I think I would avoid vintage leather shoes, but that's just me.
