User Submitted Tips

  • Doesn't it make your day when someone sends you a greeting card? It does mine, too. When I get a chance, I try to return the favor. Online sites are fun, but sometimes there's nothing like actually getting a card in the mailbox. I like to use greeting card stores that donate part of their proceeds to one charity or another. Charity greeting card stores are all over the web, so it's easy to find a charity you can get behind. Once you find some charities that sound interesting, do a little investigating to be sure that they are indeed legitimate charities. Also, it doesn't hurt to know a little about what you're supporting.
  • Online greeting card stores are the greatest invention ever! Who has the time to go to a store, look at all those cards (and put them back), finally buy one, write something in it, put a stamp on it and mail it? I know I don't! I do, however, have 5 minutes that I can jump online and send someone a card. Make sure you read the card descriptions, though, you don't want to get a surprise charge or accidentally join something. Some sites are better than others, but there are a lot of good ones out there!
