User Submitted Tips
- I got into jewelry making after I received a bracelet that my friend had made. She took me to the beading store where I was able to purchase all the supplies I needed to make elegant bracelets and necklaces using beads. She gave me a couple of quick lessons, and I have been making beaded jewelry ever since. I visit my local bead store almost weekly to get more supplies. Every time I go in, I discover new and interesting beads available for jewelry making. Needless to say, several people on my Christmas list will be getting homemade jewelry from me this year. Beading stores offer a wide variety of beads in different colors, shapes and sizes. This really allows me to customize each piece of jewelry for the special people on my gift-giving list.
